Smokefreelife Somerset – Stop Smoking Service
Smokefreelife Somerset is your local stop smoking service and is provided by Somerset County Council.
They are a FREE stop smoking service supporting Somerset residents to become smoke free.
Their 12-week treatment programme focuses on supporting behaviour change and reducing nicotine dependency. Practitioners can also advise on the correct and appropriate use of licensed stop smoking medications to ease nicotine withdrawal and where suitable, these medications are supplied directly to the client or via a one of our contracted pharmacies.
Face-to-face support sessions are held at various locations across the county with both daytime and evening support available.
Where health, mobility, transport or location problems limit or prevent access to our face-to-face sessions, they can offer a combination of telephone and text support to clients.
Smokefreelife Somerset has a specialist service, Mums2Be Smokefree, that offers 1-to-1 support to quit smoking if you are planning a pregnancy, are already pregnant or if you are a significant other of someone who is planning a pregnancy or is pregnant. Appointments take place in your home or by telephone.
